A Pizza the Action

My beloved Lovelock’s coffee shop has undergone a minor makeover recently and now features its own in-house bakery, run by the fabulous Owen of Soured-Os. Owen has long been the supplier of the sourdough bread used in Lovelock’s tasty meals but now customers will be able to watch him at work as he makes sourdough, focaccia, pizza and more. Plus, we’ll be able to buy a range of his breads on site. 

There was a break-in at Lovelock’s a few weeks ago in which quite a lot of money earmarked for the bakery building work was stolen but, happily, the clientele have responded fulsomely to fundraising efforts since then and tonight saw the launch of the new-look premises at a special soirée. Huge congratulations to the ever-brilliant Sarah Lovelock and her excellent team, and to Owen, seen here making a pizza base. I like the way he seems to have a little halo above his head! Or is it a doughnut?
