The Pensioner

There was enough interest expressed during the week to organise a small posse to gather and see The Spartans FC at home. I even whistled up the nephew, shortly turning forty (out of frame). Poor lad had to pay £15 while we old concessions got in for a tenner. And not a bad game, against Roger’s childhood team East Fife who brought a sizeable traveling support with them over the bridge.  Anyway, The Spartans can’t have been happy at the final whistle having thrown away a two goal lead but honours even was probably the right result. Honestly, who writes this rubbish?
Earlier, I’d helped Phillip get his mast off and chinwagged with the Commodore and Treasurer about weighty matters.  The SK was up town enduring a Strategy Away Day at her favourite arty institution, poor thing. A productive morning for me then. I even peeled spuds.
