A day in the life

After a long, active day, we finished by watching a couple of episodes of "Good Omens 2", a clever BBC-series based on Terry Prachetts' book.

Before that we visited Kalmar castle where an art-exhibition called "Monet and his friends" presents the art by the Impressionists in France during the late 19th century and the first third of the 20th century in a modern, multimedia production using still pictures, video clips and music from speakers and an array of digital projectors on the walls and floor of a huge room in the castle. The production is touring the world and it might pass your city. I think you should experience it if you can.

After a good lunch we went for three different walks, along the seashore outside the castle, over Alvaret on a ramp that makes it possible for people in wheelchairs to get access to the landscape and finally a walk through The Garden in the middle of the forest organised by two brothers obsessed with gardening, producing wonderful flowers and some vegetables. The Garden is kept a secret by the locals to prevent it from being exploited and possibly damaged by hoards of tourists and visitors without respect for their work.
