Fading glory

As you can see, the brilliant color of the trees in the little garden has faded and they've lost a lot of their leaves.  It won't be long now before they are bare and we've descended into what is called locally The Big Dark.  Seattle evenings get darker faster than almost anywhere else in the world and I've never gotten used to that.

Sarah has Covid now, although Levi is better, and Manda and family have gone away to Leavenworth for the weekend, so we had no family gathering today.  Tomorrow, after Doug and I get back from getting my taxi scrip, I'll spend some time with Lex.
