Progress

Some time ago we asked the chap who’s doing our double glazing if he knew of a builder who could do a few small jobs for us.  He said he did and that he would get said builder to get in touch with us.  Nothing happened, so last week we asked the gentleman in the tiling shop if he knew of a builder who might help us.  It turned out that he did - his son.  Of course, Sod’s Law, the original builder got in touch this morning and came around to look at the jobs we needed done.  He said he could do them all, which was quite a relief.  So, this afternoon after lunch we walked to the tile shop to apologise and say that we no longer needed the services of the gentleman’s son.  It wasn’t a problem as the son has a lot of work on anyway.

Earlier in the morning we were saying goodbye to Blipper Mima when a lady appeared and introduced herself.  She and her husband live a couple of doors up from us and have been away in the States.  Her husband cycled down as we were chatting.  She said that she will get one or two of the neighbours together to introduce us to them, which is really nice of her.

I spent some time doing computer admin work this afternoon and sending one or two messages and emails.  I’m also trying to catch up dipping into Blippers’ journals, which I seem to have fallen behind with again.

The blip is of our flowers box hedge - rather pretty we think.
