Ivy Visitors 25

Top of the ivy league today, the central image, is a bluebottle's bottom. I've chosen it as it is so beautifully colourful in the sunshine and I like the shape. I should really have chosen the European paper wasp as that's quite rare.

The common drone fly is very dark, evidently they are quite variable. A honey bee was catching the light. Another tiny Mirid looking as though it is smiling. Love the fruit fly's eyes and speckled wings. Another Drosophila small fruit fly  A hoverfly can just be seen above its shadow. I think the grey fly could be a root maggot fly.
