Blowy

Woke to a much brighter scene and after breakfast I started getting my set up prepared for zoom meeting. Seems like for once it was an almost full house in the room for the Board and I slightly struggled to hear, but managed in the end. Lots of discussion of tender prices, risk management and needed philanthropy.
Whilst I was online G&Ky went off to explore Glendale’s shop, cafe and the craft places nearby. They returned raving about them all and having clearly had a lovely time.
Picky lunch then, eager to make the most of a dry day, Ky and I went off to walk to the Coral Beach. About a half hour drive then another half hour’s walk along a good path. Despite glowering clouds in some areas we were delighted to be walking in sunshine and with the help (on the way there!) of the wind at our backs.
Very very blustery but warm (about 14 degrees I think) and lovely to be put making the most of the day. The beach was mainly made up of broken fragments of cold water coral and of shells…beautiful sparkling colour from a distance although less to collect.
When we turned round to come back the wind was possibly even stronger, and the white horses more in evidence on the loch, and Ky could lean forward and almost lie on the wind-we had a good laugh messing about in it and battled against it on the walk back but still made good time as we’d been determined to get some exercise. Lovely chats all through our afternoon about food, parenting, exercise, family dynamics, trying to persuade/encourage people to change bad habits, self esteem, communication patterns and gender transition. We covered a lot!
Home and after a cup of tea and chatting to G about the seals he’d seen on the shore near the house we had showers and got changed. After a quick catch up with VickyG, went to Three Chimneys for dinner (extra). Delicious as ever …I was last here 10 years ago!… although sorry to see the famous marmalade pudding was no longer on the menu. Lots of very jolly chat about restaurants and holidays in the past, dogs, South Africa and daughters…lovely evening. Home and looked up info on cold water coral, listened to music (Jim Moray and Karine Polwart) and headed to bed. Lovely day.
