Large White with a funny face!

It's only this year that I've properly realised what characterful little faces butterflies have.  This large white was enjoying the verbena flowers in the garden today, together with several of it's 'friends' who were on the buddleia as well.  There were also a couple of red admirals (would you believe!), one of which had such old and shredded wings all it could do was to flop about in the long grass, poor thing.

The only other thing I've done today - apart from a small amount of digging in the garden - is collect my watch, get it a new strap and pick up prescriptions.  Hope your day has been slightly more exciting  xx
