I planned my work to make sure I'd have time free to watch the live feed of the Keynote from the WWDC in San Francisco. It bagen at 6:00 our time and didn't wind up until two hours later.
The new Mac Pro looks amazing, but I don't have a need for a powerhorse like that. If I win the Lotto, then maybe ...
But the highlight was the time spent (and it was a lot) on iOS 7. It's a long time since I've been this excited about an announcement from Apple. This is the real McCoy with a vengeance. Time after time as endgadget's feed tried to keep up and got more and excited, so did I, and when they posted photo after photo after photos of the screen in the Moscone Centre I joined in their excitement and gob-smacked admiration. iOS looks utterly magnificent. This is great design. This promises to be a fantastic user experience. Roll on 'the Fall' so I can get my hands on this and load it on my phone and get to use it and fall in love with my iPhone all over again.
Well done Apple. Well done Jony Ive. Well done Craig Federighi. And good bye and good riddance to skeuomorphism!
