Win, win

An early walk with Indie this morning, on our return we had a quick coffee, then I gave Mum a little exercise to do before I returned.. Take the cut glass from the dresser and place it on the dressing table in the spare room. I did'nt hold out much hope but thought it might work.
Back to Chudleigh, picked up the newspaper, home briefly as Angie & Sandra were coming up to Chudleigh for a walk around the country lanes. Fresh, but comfortable walking, we caught up, death, marriage, & Spanish rescue dogs. Quite a mixed bag. Angie was singing the praises of Pure Cremation who dealt with her mother in laws recent bereavement. Beautiful glistening conkers in tubs roadside to help yourselves to. Jos is petrified of spiders, she calls them Malcolm's.. I picked about 12 for her to replace her current spider defences. :- D A hilly 6 miles, we were happy to arrive back in Chudleigh for refreshments in Harvey's who close at 3pm. My apricot bakewell tart & generous dollop of clotted cream was delicious. We walked back home where they had parked.
I dropped hubby at the pub before driving down to CK. Cut glass exercise fell short on execution. Mum had moved the cut glass glasses, she had put them on a coffee table in the sitting room. Never mind. It could have been worse. The dog towel had miraculously reappeared, it was on the washing line.??? Baffled, completely baffled.
We jumoed in the car & headed for Trago Mills, found a perfect upholstery fabric to complement the patterned cushion for the chair seat in the Snug/ spare bedroom. Bought a cut foam cushion pad as well. Oh, & ordered the upholstery fabric on line early morning for making the suite chair arms.
All in all a very productive & satisfying day.
