Clouds Passing

Rather than a close shot of the heron up in a dead tree, I opted for a wider view of it surveying the clouds scudding by. Love that word scudding, as though they are being blown along bumping their lower parts across the landscape.

After heavy rain, the clouds began to clear out with the odd patch of blue sky here and there. I thought about going back for a wider lens to capture that beautiful sky, but realised there probably wasn't time.
