Soaked

After 4" of rain in 2 days, I hoped I could get out without getting wet, but no, it was still showery. Everything was dripping wet. The cascading willow leaves had a shine to them, standing out under still dark skies. 

The remains of the prairie, sadly dying back rapidly now, still showing some colour. I recall the purple patch of asters standing out more when I witnessed them in person. Funny how the eye picks out certain things.
