Blossom

Today I've been immersed in barley straw, I'm thinking one more day and I'll be finished laying is out.  By the time I finished I was knackered, grabbed the camera and took two photos of this section of the garden, the blossom and rhodo at their best, and the wedding cake tree (Cornus controversa)also looking pretty in its new lime green leaves.  The dahlias are there but not doing anything yet, just stalks from last season.  The daffodils in the foreground are done now.
Tomorrow from 7.30 am Doug and I are marshalling for the Coastal Run - marathon and half marathon.  We'll miss the rugby, but it will be recorded to watch later in the day.
