The Bearded Tits have started to show again at the Somerset Levels.  This one is a female, so she doesn't have the black streaks below he eyes as the males do.  

It's at this time of year that they move from their spring and summer diet of insects to the autumnal and winter eating of seeds.  While they are eating insects they tend to stay down low amongst the reeds, but for the seed heads they need to become a little more visible.  The changeover is only just starting to occur, probably because the warm conditions means that there are still plenty of insects.
