Dumfries House Fountain.

An away day with the village "Social Club".  Dumfries House was the destination.  We had a break at a service station and we were surprised to find it was run by our local firm which runs Rheged and the Tebay services.  They made a good Bacon Buttie.

At the house, there was a choice, a tour of the house or time in the gardens.  We chose the gardens, a good choice.  Yes, the collection of Chippendale in the house would have been wonderful but gardens are more our thing.
