Crocosmia "Lucifer"

My usual wander round Kanyl's garden looking for a blip.  His Crocosmia caught my eye.  I have seen them in flower often but have never noticed seeds before.  Every single spike had seeds.

Crocosmia as a species are native to Africa.  Many of the garden varieties are hybrids.  The varieties resulting from a cross of C aurea and C pottsii are generally orange in colour and are considered invasive in the UK.
