Guidance

I was in Rutherglen this morning, where the monthly SNP National Executive was being held because of the impending  by-election.

It was a bit of a contrast after the open spaces of South Kintyre yesterday but the the wonders of Sat Nav made it easy to get there.

Of course such a tool did not exist , let alone be  available on every smartphone and in  most cars , when I learnt to drive - and for a long time afterwards.

Today however it  helped me not only to get to the Fernhill Community Centre but then to navigate across the city despite all the road closures for the Great Scottish Run weekend, in order to attend my good friend Jeane Freeman's 70th birthday.

Mine  last month, and two this month - it is the year of turning 70....!
