Sunshine on Edinburgh

Auld Reekie  (Edinburgh) was our destination today and the sun shone intermittently for us.  Mrs CBL was catching-up with an old friend from her childhood days who was on a visit home from British Colombia.

Their friendship has endured 68 years so they had a lot to catch up on!  Her friend and her late husband emigrated in 1977 and when she has made trips home they have met most often in Glasgow where they started primary school together.

While they enjoyed a very leisurely lunch I sloped off to wander round the city sights. 

Many, many thanks for your very kind response to my photos of the Kelpies posted late last night.  Alas I have fallen well behind with your journals but will make amends when I return home in a couple days time.
