"Spooky Season"...

Fair to say, Halloween is the major festival of my eldest daughter's year, and Ivy has picked up on the excitement. While some of us will be preparing for Samhain, or even All Souls, their home is probably about to go purple and orange!

It was lovely to have them visit today, and as part of the visit Ivy was allowed to harvest one of the pumpkins from the vegetable garden. In truth it was supposed to be a courgette, but clearly a pumpkin seed was inadvertently dealt into play.

Gods, but it's so hot for the second week in October! I suppose we ought not complain, but I wonder if the critical climate domino has finally toppled...
