Beefy.

An old favourite.
Braised shin of beef with Newcastle ale.
An Alistair Little recipe which I cut out of The Good Food magazine back in 2002. The red chilli adds warmth to the recipe.
Just add some creamy mashed potato and veg. Yummy!
I also pickled some red cabbage, and put the rest in a casserole to have with the beef.

Today started foggy, but warmed up by lunch time. A little sun and warm enough for me to sit outside and read a book. However not the glorious weather they have had in the south.
