Extreme wet

It just had to be another water blip as this incredibly wet weather continues. We are used to rain in Scotland but it is unusual to have such heavy rain across most of the country lasting for two days. Many areas have had a month’s rain in 36 hours! We are very thankful to be relatively unaffected and really feel for those whose homes and livelihoods have been devastated.
My blip is an unusual sight as it is a narrow ditch-like part of the stream about two feet deep, normally carrying about eight inches of water hidden by overhanging grass, but today it had flowed out beyond its banks and flooding the land around it. A microcosm of what is happening on a much larger scale elsewhere.
