Concert

(9/10/23)

After a relaxed day doing a couple of things (wiping down G's suitcases, which seemed to have taken a real battering this trip), it was GREAT to get into the car and drive to a concert. I feel like we haven't been to a concert in ages, but of course, we were at one in May on the Logos Hope ship. Today's was in the same vein, i.e. two couples who work with OM. It was also free! :)))

We got there in time to get some good seats, thanks to Jeff & Margaret. We weren't far from the front. Bob & Cathy started us off. It impressed me how much of his older material he did, including a Graham Kendrick song from the 1980s that most people will have forgotten.

Benny Prasad followed on with his wife Zan. They are a fantastic couple with some great stories to tell. They also sang in different languages (Malayalam, Telegu). It didn't matter that we couldn't understand the words; Zan has a beautiful voice, and Benny plays his guitar so well. People in the congregation who knew the lyrics sang along. The best part of their set was a light jazz version of Because He Lives, a firm favourite of G's and mine.

We came home via Night Beach where we stopped for a saffron tea. It was extremely humid, but good to get a small walk.

There was enough pink with the lights and Benny's kurta to qualify this for BCAM. Would you please click on this link to help people get a mammogram? Thank you.
