A Day Worth Recording

By Cheeseminer

1916-17

We've a steampunk (murder mystery) weekend soon and E uses what she thought was her father's top hat.  Turns out, it's her great grandfather's.  The name written inside the hat is ambiguous as they shared initials and surname.

When adjusting the size slightly by adding a little more rim padding, I uncover some of the original 'padding' by it's original owner - now recorded and returned to the hat.

Starting with Matthew 5 is an interesting choice for the middle of World War One...

"You have heard that it was said, ‘Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.’ But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also."
