Spring blossom in autumn

The crab apple trees that did not produce much fruit and whose leaves died off in the heat have suddenly started to produce their flowers!  This has happened before and they seem confused as to what to do.

At long last I have finished mowing all the lawn - it is difficult as it wraps round the house with differing levels but on a slope.  It will probably have to be mown again before the winter kicks in.

Went to the supermarket this afternoon. It has all changed with an improved layout for the fruit and vegetables with much more space but they have got rid of half the cash desks and in their place these automatic machines have appeared.  Much prefer standing in line and speaking to a human!
