Sunbeams

The last rose of summer?

It was the British Legion Coffee Morning this morning so met up with some friends. There was a good turnout for coffee and homemade cake, a raffle and a couple of stalls. I think a fair bit of money was made for the local branch.  Our dear friend B who is battling with cancer has taken a turn for the worse and woke up with paralysis on one side, thankfully she can still speak and just about walk a few steps.  But of course one can not get hold of any  appropriate help as the doctor did not come back with the form signed to  authorise the Macmillan nurse and every other avenue was also closed being the week-end..... everything stops.

Tim and Kathy and the children looked in on their way back from an apple fest in a village nearby. They had had fun sampling many species of apple and apple juices from the local apple orchard there were also stalls in their village hall.

It was so good having a sunny day again after the recent storms.
