Palm Cove

It was a very windy day in Palm Cove. Palm Cove is a small town outside of Cairns. A holiday spot mostly for Australians, I think, judging by the accents.

We walked along the beach, but the water was too rough to consider getting in. Thank goodness as further along, we read the signs telling you that crocodiles and stinger jellyfish are in this water. A swim anyone?!

We retreated poolside, there's only palm trees to contend with there.

We were excited to read that things stay open 'late' here, we've missed a bit of socialising after dinner. However, out of the restaurant at 9pm to find almost everything, except the ice cream shop, was already shut. I guess this is just the start of the season. I had Australua down as a party nation.
