The roses are back

During our first few years in this house, these roses were not productive at all. Alas, they have finally come in full bloom in front of the house. What a warm, welcoming scent roses bring as you enter and exit. Ruby found a great use for them this year, due to her current movie infatuation, The Beauty and the Beast. She carefullly clips one of these thorny flowers and places it into a cup of water. Then, she covers the cup with an inverted bigger glass. She checks periodically for when the moment when all the petals have fallen, and then repeats the whole process.
