On Some Days

One Love . . . Bob Marley

Still cold and wet so we took Finn to Te Papa our Museum.  It isn't overly exciting for little people and he would have liked more dinosaurs but he did very well looking at the displays and holding hands to go up and down the stairs.  I bought him a book about a little fire engine that he has heard at Day Care but doesn't own.  I read it and paused for him to chime in with the repetitive parts.
The blip is Finn and the forester sitting in front of the modern Wharenui/meeting house that was built for the museum.  The carvings are made from MDF and the colours are not traditional  It is to reflect all cultures living in New Zealand and to welcome all.  I love it.  It is used by the public as a traditional wharenui would be.
