Initial Point

The volcano that started it all in Idaho!   Always a trouble maker it seems in every family and this is the one here.  All the remnants of volcanic rock in the state all stems from this volcano when it erupted how ever long ago. It was used as the initial point to survey the state of Idaho in 1867 by Lafyette Cartee.    Joe and I will have to go and climb it next time we are out.  It has a viewing platform and a survey marker in the center.  
   Today is Joe's official birthday with calls from the kids today .  He enjoyed his chocolate cake last night and it was very good!!    Thanks for stopping by and will get to journals as I can.
