Mother's meatballs

Mom's birthday today and, as seems to be becoming tradition, she, Dad and Mike came over to Shrewsbury and a home cooked meal of her choosing. This year the request was pasta and meatballs.

That have me a good excuse to give the pasta machine a go (along with a little helper) and do the whole thing from scratch -except the meatballs, I cheated with the meatballs. It must have been pretty good though, it even got a full thumbs up from Aaron! The whole thing was obviously rounded off with chocolate cake and Granny getting some help blowing out the candle.

It was a lovely afternoon and, hopefully, a good birthday. They even came back for more when Mom left her handbag behind.
I wonder what the meal request will be next year?
