We got to the stage of lifting the bathroom floorboards.  We always know to 'expect the unexpected' and we've seen interesting plumbing before, but this is Gold Standard OhMyGod'iness.  

It was Platinum Standard before we removed seven electrical cables and three junction boxes (from the pre-rewiring era) from the same patch.
