An ordinary life....

David and his shadows...

David normally has one shadow...Lola, but with the arrival of the L gang, he now has three.  Faith, Lily (the Shih Tzu) and Lola!  lol

The day started gently enough.  Sun shining through the bedroom blind, D and Lola off on their morning walk with S from round the corner and his two boxers (Lola loves them :-) and me preparing ingredients for a slow cooked curry.

Lunch then D headed off to the driving range and I spent a couple of peaceful hours continuing crocheting the pumpkins for the halloween bunting.

Just before 5pm the gang arrived, full of their usual laughter, excitement and mayhem :-))  Faith was keen to know where her hero D was, thankfully he appeared as she was asking, cue shrieks of excitement and massive hugs.  Lola and Lily were delighted to be reunited.  Much chasing and play fighting.  They are such a comical pair, Lola so big and fluffy and Lily so small and fluffy.  Noise levels through the roof with everyone talking and laughing at the same time.

Just as they arrived my phone pinged with loads of photos from Yorkshire of Alan.  He's having an absolute ball.  Great to see him having such a good time.  The accommodation in Filey is fantastic so I suspect we will book there for a holiday next year (assuming it's available) and take Alan's pal Andrew.

Everyone enjoyed the curry.  I love that these girls eat what the adults are eating.  So easy to cater for.  Anna handed me her empty plate stating the curry was "amazing!"  Good to be appreciated :-). The lemon cheesecake and ice cream went down well too.

An evening of lively chat followed.  The girls are very excited about the Halloween party on Tuesday and about seeing Esme.  The noise levels are going to be through the roof :D
