Life through the lens...

A happy ending for Miss Tiggy- Winkle

Oh  Blippers are all so kind and caring.
I knew if I asked for help you would come up trumps. ( this photo taken yesterday late afternoon)
I had such lot of good advice from you all.
Thank you so much.
I think the main thing was to keep the little hedgehog warm. She must have been so very cold after being in the drain since last Friday night.
However thanks to blipper Kagsy she is now safe and sound and being well looked after by Shelly Hedgehogs.
We managed to get intouch with Mel at the rescue centre and she said for us to bring it straightaway.

Fortunately the men who were going to connect us to Full Fibre Broadband came at 4.30pm.
It's along story but we aren't upgrading for several reasons , since that meant we could set off over to Shelly.
In the car we could hear little hedgehog squeaking in the box and shuffling about so knew it was OK
Had difficulty finding the place , but eventually Mel came out to great us and I took it into their rescue centre.  As soon as Mel put it onto the bench and gave it some food it stood up and started to eat. Which is when I took the photo.
It seemed like a small miracle.  Must have enjoyed the 30 mile car journey!
Anyhow it is safe and sound in it's new home, and it is a little girl. All being well will be released next spring

Mel said there may be more young ones nearby so will have to look out for them. They are prepared to take in any more if we find any
What a wonderful set of people they are.
We left a donation and then set off back home.
Just managed to get back before it got dark.
The 60 mile plus round trip was worth it and we both felt very happy we had helped to save little Miss Tiggy- Winkle.
Think Beatrice Potter would be pleased!

Extra photo is the inside of the rescue centre.
