A game of two halves

An early finish from work and a chance phone call meant I ended up in the South Lakes last night doing some orienteering.

I struggle enough with orienteering without adding to the confusion with extra rules! Score event (get the controls in any order), different values for the controls and once you had gone onto the second part of the map you couldn't return to the first part.

To play safe I got all the controls on the first part and only one on the second part (less points and more technical) and I managed to get back within the hour (58:43) so avoided penalties.

I did however remember why I am not keen on midweek evening events in the forest, MIDGES!!!!!
