Out this morning for a collection of food.
Arrived at the store .......... Nothing!
Speaking to the manager, that the stuff was collected last night - by a different charity. Between us we have concluded that the umbrella charity which organises a lot of the bigger company donations occasionally give the details to more than one of the smaller charities so it is almost a 1st come - 1st served' situation. Not only is that 'a bit off' it also means that the smaller charities are actually losing money by having to pay expenses to drive miles for nothing. It really makes me mad - especially as they often 'donate' so little and can claim tax back for charitable contributions. They are probably making money on the deal.

After lunch it was out again for another collection in the middle of nowhere (a small amount of pre-cooked chicken). When we dropped it off one of the other volunteers was telling us how much it gets sold for in the shop (it needs to be cheap to sell quickly or it needs to be thrown away). We both agreed that this sort of runs costs more to collect it than they make.
I am going to have to try and figure out how we can make these companies realise that they are NT being the good guys and that they need to buck their ideas up.

Back home I calmed myself down by making something and cutting/sawing a load of wood ready too be turned.

This evening I realised that I hadn't taken any pictures so I grabbed the vase of well past it flowers and took some shots before the flowers head to the compost tomorrow.
