2023 Tuesday — Hospital Day 2

We questioned his doctor way back in March about issues that we thought were not right. His next appointment, three months later, revealed a significant increase in weight. We were both alarmed and it didn't make sense; there had been no major change in diet or eating habits. Still very little action from his medical professionals.

Our summer included some very difficult moments; everything felt very upside down and inside out. He was miserable, not only physically but mentally as well. We didn't know what to do, but we knew his condition was somehow a reaction to his prostate cancer treatment. We were frustrated, discouraged, bewildered.

When he began noticing his body swelling unusually a week ago, we both knew it was time for serious intervention. This past Monday morning Mr. Fun was admitted to the hospital. Immediately he was being sent for testing, and we knew he was getting good advice and helpful procedures.

So, much of these past six-plus months is now making sense. He spent last night in the hospital and we don't know when he will be released. We hope not until he is well on the road to recovery.
