Nightmare Morning

Torquay was battered by Storm Babet today ,  the seafront was swamped, and the road closed. The two shipping containers belonging to SOAK, a water sports business and cafe were swept into the sea. The high tide and wild seas caused traffic to be gridlocked, and the speaker at the Museum, Susan Wilkins, was caught in it , as was I. Susan is a best selling crime writer, who lives locally, and her lecture was about psychological thrillers. We all got there eventually and her very interesting lecture took place, very professionally, considering the anxiety and delay. I appreciate that my photo is a poor illustration, but reinforces the fact psychological thrillers are not entirely new, but are hugely popular now.
