Huttoft car terrace

Heavy rain overnight had stopped by daybreak. The wind had abated too. We didn't hear the wind as such but rather the steady roaring of a racing sea.

By midday there were glimpses of blue sky. We gave up on the idea of going to Louth. Not much more to see than the church. Nor did the Seal Sanctuary appeal since we couldn't take Basil in. So we decided to go and sit at Huttoft car terrace. The beach is long and wide, the sky is huge and it's so relaxing just sitting watching the sea.

We'd had lattes at Farmer Brown's beforehand and ate our sandwiches at the beach. As forecast, rain began to fall at 3pm.

Len couldn't reverse out of the wet sand. By great good fortune, several people on the terrace helped to push us out. I was particularly grateful to Jacob who got in the driving seat and was able to disable the electric function. He wasn't quite sure how he did it but he pressed a button called EV.

Committee meeting for RPS travel group tonight.
