Bus Pass Walk

Just 3 of us on our trip today.  Delayed buses from the village due to a burst water main in Allerton. From Bingley we caught the Leeds bus, alighting in Kirkstall and walking along the canal I to Leeds.  Photo shows the ancient and modern structures along the canal.  Lots of ancient bridges surrounded by modern offices and apartments.  A huge amount of. construction ongoing. It was warm enough to sit outside for lunch, and we had very tasty refreshments at "Sociable Folk" cafe.  Called into a few shops in the way back to the bus station.  We had decided to get the first bus heading towards home, and it was a bus going rather round the houses.  The heating was on and the bus was completely full - quite uncomfortable.  We had a short delay at the interchange then another route with long queues and diversions as Allerton Road was still closed. A longer day than normal, but still enjoyable!  :-)
