More Rain

Sitting outside the supermarket waiting for it to open, yet again more rain coming down.  It is shocking to see how many parts of the country are suffering from flooding.  One thing having been on this earth for so many years is you challenge your memory for similar flooding in the past.  I can actually remember examples of flooding in the past; in 1976 after the summer drought we saw floods after the Government appointed a minister for drought. Probably one of the most successful appointments in political history!

What I am sure of is that the frequency of flooding has increased substantially and what were defined as hundred year events now seem to happen every other year.
