The Awakening

My husband and I stopped by the National Harbor to revisit the Pepper Palace. They were doing a tasting event and had a big sale. We picked up some Christmas gifts and a few treats for ourselves. 
After shopping, we walked out on one of the piers to blip the The Awakening sculpture. I remember when it was placed out on Haines Point. Back then, it was a solemn and spiritual sculpture. At the National Harbor, it has become a fantastic playground.
