Meadow Buttercups

This spring and early summer the landscape seems to have been dominated by an abundance of buttercups, or is it because of blip that I am noticing these things more now?

After periods of heavy rain this afternoon it suddenly brightened up, so I took a chance and went for a walk out to some of the meadows at the edge of the village to capture some pictures of the flowers in the meadows before they are cut for silage or hay.
