Ringed Plover

Pretty summery today on Bay of Birsay beach- or maybe it was all the layers I wore, expecting cold winds off the sea. Birds mainly pretty distant- 60 golden plover, lots of redwings and blackbirds,, turnstones, a few dunlin and purple sandpiper etc. Extra of some starlings. They were very chatty and I liked how they would shuffle along as another starling land on the end of the line.
