A fine day to change wheels!

We woke up this morning to see snow gently falling. It looked beautiful but at the same time it was a pain, because we needed to drive to town today.
So, a cup of tea to start the day and then out to change the wheels on the car. Winter wheels up from the cellar, out with the jack and wheel brace, a large piece of insulating mat to sit on, and off we go.
Fortunately it all went easily and quickly and 90 minutes later the summer wheels were in the cellar, resting until spring,, and the car was ready to go.
We went to town, did our errands and shopping, and visited Rose, to thank her for looking after our house and plants, and to catch up on the last month’s news. Then we drove home as darkness fell.
The roads were actually mostly clear of snow so we could have waited a while longer but having the studded tyres on brings peace of mind - a valuable asset!
