Still Miztified

Smooch

I was up at Felton to see a man about some stair rails. The area was a hotbed of logging in the early 20th century, with a lot of the redwood lumber going to rebuild San Francsisco after the 1906 earthquake. Small railways were built to get the logs out and down to the coast, and this covered bridge has survived from those times. It's rather like a cathedral, no wonder these people were using it for a photo shoot (they didn't mind me joining in). I just wonder, why bother to cover a bridge at all?
