Burnish

I’d glimpsed the top of an inversion in the valley as I headed to a doctor’s appointment, but by the time I came out the mist had burned off leaving bright sunshine to burnish the developing autumn colours. 

I’m now dosed up with various potions to tackle a blocked sinus.

Later, I went up to Ilkley for some comedy in the form of Rich Hall. A good evening, with half the show as stand-up and the second half based around his songs, where members of the audience are woven into humorous narratives. I had remembered to avoid the front five rows.
