Life through the lens...

High and dry

After a huge breakfast we headed for Morston to walk along the coastal path to Blakeney and back.
Dull and fine mizzle  but we donned waterproofs and off we went.
It certainly wasn’t cold.
It was fine when when we reached Blakeney.
Looking out over the marshes we spotted some cows in the distance and in amongst them we counted 17 cattle egrets. A real highlight of our day.
Always expect the unexpected as we always say.
Then coffee sat outside the Two Magpies cafe.
Followed by a crab sandwich from By the Quayside. Shared between us as still full from breakfast!
Recommend by Alison it was one of the best ever.
It started raining on our way back to Morston, but we didn’t mind.

Then drove to Cley to have a look round St. Margaret ‘s Church. Unfortunately there was a music event taking place so will call back another day.

It was then to Norfolk Wild Life Visitor Centre and a pot of tea and scone. ( shared)
Very misty and wet over the marches so we stayed in the cafe looking out. Did see just one marsh harrier.
Extra is of the lovely artwork at the centre.

Back to B&B and more tea and cake!
Out soon for our evening meal.
It’s all eating and drinking this holiday!
