Sally Mair - Loving life

on the silk road

This is the 12th century (refurbished) entrance to a Caravanserai on the Silk Road. The inside was beautiful and very peaceful with a cafe set up in the columned courtyard. There was a stunning exhibition of locally made carpets too.
We made it up in time for our early start this morning and after a very quick breakfast we travelled over 300 miles in the coach, over the mountains and across the plain. We're in a very comfortable hotel tonight. Temperatures during the day are up to 28' but down as low as 6 or 7 overnight. Quite a contrast but we've still needed AC overnight.
On the home front the house is still standing according to the house sitters. Josie refused to let the dentist anywhere near her mouth, then told her daddy she'd had a nice time at the dentist! Hmmm!
Isobel's dancing group came second in their class on Sunday, so she is very happy after her first competition
