Ablutions

This is the area outside the mosque for ceremonial ablutions, or as our guide kept saying, oblations, which is remarkably almost correct .
After just 3 hours sleep last night we had an early but leisurely start with a short cruise down the river to where it joins the sea, separated only by a narrow spit of very hot sand.
We stopped for 90mins to enjoy the beach. I went straight into the sea and stayed there for most of that time. The last time I was swimming was in the Bay of Bengal in March.
From there we went back onto the boat for lunch then to visit a local Mosque, old and very beautiful. See extra.
Tomorrow we have a 300 mile drive ahead of us, hopefully with several stops .
