Opt-Out

Our receiver / amp dates from the 90s (that's only 10 years ago, right?) and has done good service but having had to remove and re-install it (while the carpet fitters attempted to do something about the odd creases in the games room carpet) I discover that one surround speaker output isn't outputting any more.

Swapped wires around and it's not the cable (which is good as the chances of the fitters slicing it was reasonably high).

So might look to get a more modern one.

No idea whether optical cabling caught on beyond the 90's.  I'm rather guessing HDMI is everything now.
